Prefects
Our Prefects play a vital role in upholding the values and standards of Orion Spires. They are trusted student leaders who set a positive example for their peers, promote respect, and foster a supportive school environment. Prefects assist staff in maintaining order during transitions, represent the student voice, and help organize events and activities. Their responsibilities include mentoring younger students, encouraging participation in school life, and ensuring that our community remains safe, inclusive, and inspiring. Wearing the prefect badge is a mark of pride and responsibility, reflecting their commitment to leadership and service.
Senior Prefect Roles
Senior Prefect positions, including Head Students, are chosen by the school community through a rigorous selection process. Candidates must write a formal letter to the Principal outlining their suitability for the role and their vision for what they hope to achieve in the coming year. They then present their ideas and values to the student body. Following these presentations, all students and staff vote to elect the Head Students, ensuring that these key leadership roles truly represent the voice and aspirations of our school.
